Enrolment Terms
These Enrolment Terms govern the provision of educational services by Princess Catherine School of London Ltd (the "School", "we", "us") to enrolled students, together with any Enrolment Letter issued for a specific programme and the Fee Schedule. They are accepted electronically through the Student Portal.
01. Definitions and interpretation
In these Enrolment Terms: the "School", "we" or "us" means Princess Catherine School of London Ltd, whose registered office is at 8 Reed Avenue, London, E3 3ZB; the "Student" or "you" means the person who accepts these Enrolment Terms through the Student Portal or otherwise; the "Student Portal" means the School’s secure online portal; the "Enrolment Letter" means the letter issued by the School confirming the programme, its duration, and its fees for a specific enrolment; and the "Fee Schedule" means the School’s schedule of tuition fees published in the Student Portal, as amended from time to time.
Headings are for convenience only. References to writing include email and Student Portal communications.
02. The School and its programmes
The School provides further and higher education programmes — taught fully online — across its schools of Business & Management, Health & Social Care, Computing & IT, and Law & Humanities. Degree and professional programmes are validated and awarded by recognised UK universities and awarding bodies; the School does not award its own degrees.
Programme information, timetables, and module content are published in good faith, may change with reasonable notice, and do not form a contractual promise of specific teaching methods, staffing, or outcomes.
03. Enrolment, verification and acceptance
Before enrolment begins, the Student must provide complete and accurate details through the Student Portal, including evidence of identity and of the qualifications relied on for entry. The School may verify the information provided and may request additional documentation.
The School may accept or decline a prospective student at its discretion, and may refuse or withdraw from an enrolment where required by law or regulation, or on academic or behavioural grounds, in accordance with its published procedures.
A prospective student becomes an enrolled student when they accept these Enrolment Terms, sign, and return the signed copy through the Student Portal. Electronic acceptance and signature through the Student Portal are valid and binding, and the School keeps a record of the acceptance, the typed name, the date, and the returned signed copy.
04. The contract
The contract between the School and the Student consists of these Enrolment Terms, the Fee Schedule, and the Enrolment Letter issued for the specific programme. In the event of conflict, the Enrolment Letter prevails, followed by these Enrolment Terms and then the Fee Schedule.
Any change to the agreed programme of study — including a module change, a transfer between programmes, or a deferral — must be agreed in writing, including any change to fees.
05. Fees, deposits and payment
Tuition fees are set in accordance with the Fee Schedule and confirmed in the Enrolment Letter. Unless otherwise stated, fees are quoted exclusive of VAT, which is payable in addition where applicable.
- Programme fees are stated in the Enrolment Letter and may be invoiced in agreed instalments timed to the academic calendar.
- A deposit or first instalment, as stated in the Enrolment Letter, is payable before the programme begins.
- Optional extras — such as examination resits, replacement certificates, and awarding-body charges — are listed in the Fee Schedule or notified before purchase.
The current Fee Schedule, published in the Student Portal, forms part of these Enrolment Terms and is reproduced below.
Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue by bank transfer to the account shown on the invoice. The School reserves the right to charge statutory interest on late payments and to suspend access to teaching and the Student Portal while an invoice remains unpaid.
06. Student obligations
The Student must provide timely, complete and accurate information, including for enrolment, identity verification, and attendance monitoring, and must notify the School promptly of any material change in their circumstances.
The Student is responsible for the security of their Student Portal credentials and for all activity carried out under their account, and must comply with the School’s academic, IT, and safeguarding policies.
07. Student conduct
The School maintains a code of conduct, attendance requirements, and safeguarding policies, published in the Student Portal and binding on all students. Where a serious breach occurs, the School may suspend or terminate enrolment in accordance with its published procedures, charging only for teaching properly provided.
08. Confidentiality & data protection
The School keeps the Student’s information confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or regulation — including safeguarding and immigration-related obligations, which override the duty of confidentiality to the extent required by law.
Personal data is processed in accordance with the School’s Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law, with all data stored within the United Kingdom.
09. Fees from lawful sources
The Student warrants that all funds connected to their enrolment are from lawful sources. The School may terminate an enrolment where it suspects that funds derive from unlawful activity or where continued enrolment would breach any law or regulation, and may be prevented by law from informing the Student of the reason.
10. Learning materials & intellectual property
Learning materials provided by the School are for the Student’s own personal study. The School retains ownership of its course materials, recordings, and know-how, and grants the Student a licence to use them for their own study during the enrolment.
The School may return or destroy Student documents at the end of an enrolment after a reasonable period, in accordance with its retention policy.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Enrolment Terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to the above, the School’s total liability arising out of or in connection with an enrolment is limited to the fees paid or payable for that enrolment, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss.
12. Withdrawal & termination
The Student may withdraw from a programme by giving 14 days’ written notice through the Student Portal or by email. Refunds on withdrawal are calculated in accordance with the refund policy set out in the Fee Schedule. The School may terminate an enrolment for non-payment or serious misconduct in accordance with its published procedures, charging only for teaching properly provided. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination continue to do so.
13. Governing law
These Enrolment Terms and any contract incorporating them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Acceptance & signature
By ticking the acceptance box, typing their name, and returning the signed copy of these Enrolment Terms through the Student Portal, the Student confirms that they have read, understood and accept these Enrolment Terms and the Fee Schedule, and agrees that this constitutes a valid signature for all purposes.
